Press Conference on 'Traditional Boats of Bangladesh'
Published Date: March 21, 2010Friendship is organizing an exhibition titled ‘Traditional Boats of Bangladesh’ from 23 March to 19 April, 2010 at the Nolinikanto Bhattashali Exhibition Hall of the National Museum, with the sponsorship of the AB Bank.
To announce this exhibition, Friendship organized a press conference in the National Press Club on today, March 19, 2010. The exhibition will be displaying different aspects of traditional boats, including scale models, the building of the boats and the livelihood associated with boat-building. The exhibition has been organized to allow people to not only admire the beauty and craftsmanship of these collectable items but also to raise awareness of a heritage on its way to being lost. Friendship has been working with the restoration and promotion of this age-old tradition for over a decade and has previously held 2 national and 4 international exhibitions.
